As you can see the image looks much better on the virtual shirt than in reality (see my blog post prior to this). I figured the problem was the lighter shades were too subtle for the printer to pick-up in screening the image onto the shirt. So I added a purple outline for anyone interested in ordering the design. The only catch is it is only available on white shirts because I wanted to ensure the details showed well.
So I ordered a shirt with my design on it and it finally arrived yesterday. It was several days later than the promised maximum 12 business days for Standard Shipping. Since I was really excited to see my design it was quite disappointing that the design didn't transfer as well during screening as I'd hoped for. After my wait I felt let down by the lack of quality in the printing. It looked more nuanced on the computer screen than in real life. Once I looked at it I realised the design looked 'flat' without the details that existed on screen. For instance, the magic wand the fairy holds has a light at the end on the computer but on my t-shirt it didn't print at all. The fairy's wings also had a subtle white glow that also did not end up printing. So it really looks plain and flat compared to what I had expected. I'm really very disappointed. No, I won't return it but I do feel peeved the printing/screening did not turn out the best. As far as the shirt itself is concerned it is soft and comfortable. I ordered a small and worried it might be too tight since the info for the product said to order a size up. But the size chart didn't seem to verify that so I went with small and am glad I did. The small is actually generous and not nearly as small as the product info warned. Anyhow, I took a few photos to show what it looks like in real life and on myself. I apologise for the photo quality but the camera is quite basic. The color/tone appears different in a couple of pics but it's just my camera. They are all the same shirt.
This site is still under construction but I wanted to let you know I am working on it. I just set it up today and have three others to maintain. Forgive me if it seems sparse right now. It will have more added as time goes on. For now I am simply setting it up to ensure I have a website to correspond with my Zazzle shop.
